Support the MRO Titleholders by Attending Coronation Fundraisers

Picture
Did you know that Miss Rodeo Oklahoma, MRO Teen and MRO Princess are responsible for funding the majority of their travels in promoting rodeo and the state? To help raise essential funding, they each conduct a fundraising coronation. Each event is planned to shine the light on the young woman's accomplishment in earning her title. The bonus is that community members and supporters from across the state are invited to provide support, whether attending in person or not. They are always a great celebration of community, too. Won't you make plans to attend? They occur in this order: Miss on January 10, Teen on February 21, and then Princess on March 28. We hope to see you at each!

Celebrating 70 Years. Evolving for Today.

Picture
The Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Pageant is entering its 70th year with meaningful updates that make participation more accessible, affordable, and rewarding than ever. For 2026, the pageant introduces a streamlined schedule, reduced wardrobe requirements, a younger entry age for the Princess division, and enhanced feedback for contestants—changes shaped by direct input from participants, parents, and alumni. From cost-saving adjustments to clearer preparation expectations and expanded development opportunities, these updates reflect a renewed commitment to supporting young women at every stage of their journey. Contestants, parents, and grandparents are invited to learn more about what’s new and why many alumni call this a life-changing experience.

Thanks to the support of local volunteers and many around the Woodward community, including the Woodward Elks, the Miss Rodeo Scholarship Scramble is becoming known as a fun day on the links for a great cause. Scenic Boiling Springs Golf Club outside Woodward, Oklahoma, will be the host course again on May 8, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma program, with 75 of proceeds going directly to contestant scholarships. The past decade of fundraising has helped the scholarships grow substantially. Come golf with us at the 10th Annual MRO Scholarship Scramble.

In Loving Memory of Jack J. Wells, 1942-2019

Western artist Jack J. Wells and his wife, Alice, have been longtime supporters of the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma program,  providing Jack's prints for the annual raffle and creating an original framed portrait for each Miss Rodeo Oklahoma. Jack even walked away with the crown once as "Mister Rodeo Oklahoma." Most importantly, they encouraged contestants, supported the organization and its volunteers and became our friends. Donations in Jack's memory may be designated to the ORPC and will be applied toward a Jack J. Wells scholarship.
