Growing up around horses and longhorn cattle in Osage County of northeastern Oklahoma, Allie has been involved in barrel racing and rodeo queen pageants from the age of 9. She credits her late stepdad, Dave Thennes, with her commitment to the rodeo industry.
Being a licensed cosmetologist and barber working in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Allie enjoys making people feel good about themselves. Her work does not deter her from her love of horses which began at a very early age; she looks forward to riding various horses on her many travels. Allie is proud of her Cherokee heritage that links her to Oklahoma as a Native American and a cowgirl.
Since her early teen years Allie has approached life with the motto “Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today” and plans to “Be the Reason” new fans are interested in rodeo. Allie’s flair for marketing will be an asset as she spends her year promoting the sport of rodeo, the State of Oklahoma, and our Western way of life.
