Moore, Oklahoma is home to Kylie Myers, a 23-year-old who seeks to teach youth the importance of believing their voice has value and remind adults the power they have to positively influence future generations. Throughout 2020 and 2021 Kylie is using her podcast “Use Your Voice! On the Road with Kylie Myers” to highlight local and national organizations that are dedicated to helping the future of our youth.
Pursuing her degree in nursing, her ultimate goal is to work in nonprofit missions and help provide medical care to Third World countries as a [CRNA] Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Kylie says it’s her western background and travels through youth rodeo and equestrian disciplines that have taught her responsibility, dedication and a true appreciation for hard work.
In capturing the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma title, she swept the categories of appearance, horsemanship, speech, personality, written test and congeniality. Her most prized award may be the one earned for scoring the highest in interviews across all age divisions as it is given in memory of Betty Baker, a special mentor in Kylie’s life. Kylie came up through the ranks of youth and junior and high school rodeos. She also has ridden on two national champion drill teams and a rodeo production team. As Miss Rodeo Oklahoma she will travel across her home state and North America promoting the sport and the western lifestyle before representing Oklahoma at the 2022 Miss Rodeo America Pageant during the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
